On May 6, at 19:00, Ilia State University School of Technology will hold a live meeting with Mikheil Elashvili on the topic: “Technologies Around Us – Engineering for Environmental Management” within the framework of a new project “Technologies Around Us”.
The following topics will be discussed at the meeting:
- Complex environmental monitoring, various sensors and IOT system to protect cultural heritage;
- Modeling of the environment and its processes, geographic information systems and photogrammetric images from drones;
- Environmental research, restoration of the paleoenvironment, what was the human habitation like millennia ago.
About the speaker
Mikheil Elashvili is a professor of geophysics at Ilia State University. His group explores Vardzia, Uplistsikhe, a ship sunk in the sea.
