{"id":6857,"date":"2021-09-20T16:38:52","date_gmt":"2021-09-20T16:38:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bte.iliauni.edu.ge\/?p=6857"},"modified":"2022-01-31T16:40:22","modified_gmt":"2022-01-31T16:40:22","slug":"registration-for-devops-dataops-and-cloudops-trainings-begins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bte.iliauni.edu.ge\/en\/registration-for-devops-dataops-and-cloudops-trainings-begins\/","title":{"rendered":"Registration for DEVOPS, DATAOPS and CLOUDOPS trainings begins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ilia State University, with the support of USAID Economic Security Program &#8211; Training for Life (T4L) Industry-Led Workforce Development Starts from October 10<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> DevOps, DataOps and CloudOps technology training series Advanced IT Trainings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project envisages the development of 120 beginner developer skills in the field of information technology, the three most in-demand modern trends today are: DevOps, DataOps and CloudOps.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the first stream, 20 participants will be selected for each course. A total of 60 participants will receive free training, which includes both theoretical and practical components, and the course will end with a final project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants will also undergo career development trainings, where they will learn about the opportunities for employers of developers in Georgia and abroad today, meet with representatives of leading IT companies and participate in employment forums.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ilia State University together with partner IT companies will offer internship programs to the training participants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">20 developers will take part in each course. The duration of the course is 5 months, 3 hours per week. Courses are free for first stream participants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project manager is Vice Rector of Ilia State University, Professor Nana Dikhaminjia, in the direction of developing innovations and popularizing science.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The training directions will be guided by:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>Erekle Maghradze, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Associate Professor at Ilia State University, in the field of computer science;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>Shota Tsiskaridze<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Associate Professor at Ilia State University, in the field of computer science;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>For whom is the course intended ?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The course is designed for novice developers who have some programming experience and want to learn the latest technologies in process and data management automation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The DevOps course will cover topics:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The importance of DevOps in modern information technologies, process automation;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Python Basics, Introduction to Flask and FastAPI Packages;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Use of Git-based systems;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Containerization of the application using Docker and Podman;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 DevOps for Databases (Liquibase);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Container Management Tools (Docker Swarm, K8S);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 K8S operations;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Software monitoring, continuous integration and testing.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><b>The DataOps course will cover topics:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Introduction to Python, Numpy, Pandas, Data Visualization (Matplotlib, Seaborn);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Introduction to Data Management Principles, Data Storage Technology, Distributed Data Storage Systems, Big Data Systems;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 HDFS Review, HDFS Access and CLI, Debugging and File Types;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Introduction to Spark using PySpark, Spark RDD;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 NoSQL Review, HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB (MongoDB ATLAS).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The CloudOps course will cover topics:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Overview of Cloud Platforms, Description of AWS Basic Services, Description of Azure Basic Services, Description of Basic Services on GCP;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Python Basics, Introduction to Flask and FastAPI Packages;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Cloud management and operations concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Containerization of the application using Docker and Podman;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Introduction to Terraform, Terraform Providers for AWS, GCP, Azure and useful modules for infrastructure implementation;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Ansible Basics and Ansible Configuration Management Automation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>How do I become a project participant?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to participate in the project you need to fill out a simple application form no later than September 28, 2021.
