Computer Engineering (International) (English Language)

English language, Computer Engineering (International) undergraduate program was developed in 2018, at Ilia State University. The development process of the program was based on the best practices from the top international and Georgian Universities and on the tight collaboration with the technological industry.

Attainment of the Program Educational Objectives and Student Outcomes are under the constant monitoring for the English language, Computer Engineering (International) undergraduate program. This ongoing assessment is part of the program’s built-in “Continuous Improvement” process.

The goal of the Bachelor’s program is to prepare highly qualified specialists in computer engineering who will be equipped with broad knowledge in the design, development, and operation of computer hardware and software. To this end, the program provides students with extensive knowledge of computer hardware, electronic devices, their technical characteristics, and related physical processes, as well as computational and engineering skills for using various approaches and methods. At the same time, the program aims to develop students’ professional skills for a successful career in computer engineering.

Computer Engineering (International) undergraduate program, got accreditation from Georgian National Center for Education Quality Enhancement from February 1, 2022. The accreditation is valid till February 1, 2029. Number of the official decision about accreditation is #151119, date of the decision is February 15, 2022. Information about the decision is available here.

The Computer Engineering (International) program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Electrical, Computer, Communications, Telecommunication(s), and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.

Accreditation is valid from May 1 2023. The next comprehensive review will take place in the period of 2028-2029. Information about accreditation of this program is available on the following link.
