On July 8, at 19:00, Ilia State University and the educational organization Kings will hold a live-information meeting for students interested in getting a degree in civil engineering within a joint project – “The choice is yours“.
Professors, graduates and current students of Ilia State University School of Technology will inform the school students about the importance of civil engineering education and the opportunities in this direction at Ilia State University:
- Michael Saunders, Head of Iliauni School of Technology, Head of Civil Engineering Program;
- Vakhtang Balavadze, Head of Quality Assurance Service, Ilia State University, Faculty of Business, Technology and Education;
- Anna Pavliashvili, Vice-President of Ilia State University Civil and Construction Engineering Club;
- Irakli Ambokadze, President of Ilia State University Civil and Construction Engineering Club.
The meeting will provide information on the structure of the program, teaching format and methods, admission procedures, exchange programs and employment opportunities. You will also have the opportunity to ask interesting questions in the comments and receive comprehensive answers from the School of Technology professors and administrative staff.
We are waiting for students interested in civil engineering, their parents from all over Georgia on July 8, at 19:00.

About the project
The project “The Choice is Yours” has been implemented in cooperation with Ilia State University and the educational organization Kings since 2015 and its goal is to provide career guidance for students of graduating classes (grades X-XII) of secondary educational institutions, to enable them to make informed and independent decisions based on their own interests and aspirations.
At the interactive meetings, Ilia State University professors, researchers, students, graduates, representatives of potential employers ‘organizations will answer students’ questions of interest to them and provide comprehensive information on the following issues:
- What kind of knowledge and effort is based on thorough mastering of this or that profession?
- What are the related career development opportunities in Georgia and in the world?
- What opportunities does Ilia State University offer students to acquire knowledge and support?
