The Programming Club of Computing Center at Ilia State University presents a weekly series of meetings for people interested in Computer Science.

The topic of the December 15 meeting is “POV-Ray Raytracer – free software tool for programming three-dimensional graphics”

Discussion topics:

  • Programming of photorealistic CG scene;
  • Parametric modelling;
  • Data visualization.

About the Speaker: 

George Partskhaladze, Associate Professor, Computer Science (Computer Graphics, Programming).

George, after graduating from Tbilisi I. Vekua Physics-Mathematical School, he entered the Georgian Technical University. With a doctoral scholarship, he continued studies in Germany.

Between 1997-2005 he worked at the Silesian University in the Czech Republic and was teaching: informatics, computer graphics, algorithms and data structures.

George returned to Georgia in 2005 and continues to work at the Georgian National Museum.
