We hosted robotics clubs created in the schools of Tbilisi and Rustavi and awarded them with Mbot robots within the framework of the project supported by Tech Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Center of Iliauni and EPAM Georgia at Ilia State University on October 15.
10 public schools of Tbilisi and Rustavi were selected through an open competition at the initial stage of the project. The next stage of the project involves a two-stage training of trainers on the bases of schools, who will later facilitate the activities of the clubs. The first stage of the training has already been completed.
Delivering Mbot robots and training trainers for selected schools allows students to master the basics of robotics, Python programming, and control sensors and motors.
Highly qualified experts of EPAM Georgia will also conduct online Tech Talks for clubs as part of the project.
At this stage, the network of robotics clubs includes the following schools in Tbilisi and Rustavi:
- LEPL Tbilisi Public School N108
- LEPL Rustavi Public School N7
- LEPL Tbilisi Public School N2
- LEPL Tbilisi Public School N175
- LEPL Rustavi Public School N21
- LEPL Tbilisi Public School N55
- LEPL Tbilisi Public School N45
- LEPL Zhiuli Shartava Rustavi Public School N4
- LEPL Tbilisi Public School N133
- LEPL Tbilisi Public School N127
The coordinator of the project is Avtandil Mghebrishvili, head of the Tech Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Center of Ilia State University.
